Professional Coaching and Mentoring Services Designed for Individual and Organizational Growth

At Emerging Trails, we focus our coaching partnerships on professionals who are either stepping into leadership roles or looking to grow within them.

Too often, coaching is reserved for executives or senior leaders — leaving emerging managers and future leaders to figure things out on their own. We believe that’s a missed opportunity. Why wait to invest in your next generation of leaders?

Our work helps bring out the best in professionals — supporting growth, clarity, and confidence in a way that stays true to your authentic self and your personal definition of success, whether you’re navigating a new role or preparing for what’s next.

One-on-One Coaching & Mentoring

“Sometimes facing work challenges and figuring out how to focus on specific paths feels like trying to find something in a messy attic. Working with Martha has helped me bring clarity to my goals and challenges that get mixed up in the attic of my brain. This clarity also gives me confidence and focus, creating a virtuous cycle.”

Our 1:1 coaching and mentoring services are centered entirely on the professional growth of individual clients. Each session is guided by the goals and topics clients bring to the table — whether they’re thematic (like long-term leadership growth) or situational (like navigating a job change or workplace challenge).

Common Coaching Focus Areas

  • Gaining clarity on career aspirations
  • Navigating change with confidence
  • Strengthening leadership and communication skills
  • Building presence, confidence, and influence

Our Coaching Approach

At Emerging Trails, we begin every coaching partnership by getting to know the individual. That means understanding your professional vision, motivators, stressors, past experiences with feedback and coaching, core values, and personal attributes. This upfront reflection helps establish a clear, shared foundation — and acknowledges the overlap between professional and personal life that influences decision-making and fulfillment.

This intentional start leads to highly tailored coaching from the very first session.

The coaching relationship is a true partnership — built on shared accountability, mutual trust, and a commitment to growth. Whether long-term or short-term, coaching and mentoring can flex to meet your needs as you move through a dynamic and evolving professional landscape.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this one-on-one framework is defined by your progress and satisfaction. As your coach and trusted thought partner, we support you in articulating meaningful goals and staying aligned with them with more clarity, balance, and fulfillment along the way. The goal is forward progress, and we are you to support you in that!

Internal Organizational Coaching

Collaborative coaching engagements for small to mid-sized teams.

Also known as Multi-party Coaching or 3-Way Coaching, Internal Organizational Coaching creates a partnership between Emerging Trails, an organization, and individual employees within that organization.

This coaching model supports employees through 1:1 coaching sessions focused on goals they co-create with their manager or leader. These goals often blend interpersonal skill development with role-specific growth — aligning with organizational priorities like role development, performance improvement, leadership readiness, or behavioral shifts needed for future roles or promotions.

While coaching conversations remain confidential and individualized, the employee’s manager plays an active role throughout the engagement — influencing goal setting, providing feedback, and supporting ongoing progress. Equally important is the organization’s commitment to sustaining development beyond the coaching engagement, ensuring employees feel supported in applying new skills and insights on the job.

This multi-party coaching model keeps employees in the driver’s seat of their own growth while aligning development with business impact. Success is measured by both individual progress and organizational outcomes — creating accountability and momentum on all sides.

To ensure alignment and lasting impact, each party contributes to summary reports and sustainability plans — capturing key themes, action steps, and long-range development goals as the engagement concludes.
